Description

PDBC Premier 

A highly competitive dragon boat program for athletes under 50. Our premier program is designed to compete at the highest international level. At the 2023 Canadian Nationals this crew ranked 1st overall in the Premier Mixed small boat division and 4th overall in Premier Women's small boat. In 2024, our small boat Premier Mixed crew competed at the Club Crew World Championships and earned 1st, 3rd and 8th place finishes.  We look forward to great things in 2026.

*Please note that this is a competitive program so athletes must be selected to compete with us.


Winter:

Pool Paddling @ Afterburn Fitness Centre

November 2nd, 2025 - March 29th, 2026

  • Bi-Weekly, Sundays, 9:00am - 11:00am 

Please note the following: November 16th, January 18th, February 15th and March 15th will include an 8:00am start for most athletes

 

PERG Training @ Paddle Zone

November 4th, 2025 - April 12th, 2026

  • Bi-Weekly Sundays, 9:00am - 11:30am

  • Every Tuesday, 6:00 - 7:30 pm

  

No sessions on the following dates: Dec 22nd - Jan 2nd inclusive


PERG Testing @ Paddle Zone

Summer:

Fees:

Annual Membership: $2,500.00 (HST included) 

Distance Annual Membership: $1,000.00 (HST included)

* A distance membership is only available to paddlers who live more then 100kms from Pickering and who are only able to attend 60% or less of practices.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, email money transfer or by credit card via PayPal. Please note that all PayPal payments incur an additional 2.9% convenience fee.
